About

My name is Hung, but you can call me Will if you prefer. I live in Hanoi, specifically in the countryside. I enjoy reading books, taking photographs, designing, and playing with children. I own a private/community library that has been running since 2013. If you’re curious about how my library looks, do a Google search for “Thu vien Duong Lieu“, or you can learn more about this project by visiting the “librarian” tab on my website.
I’m a 2023 Fulbright scholar and recently earned my Master’s in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University in New York. My journey — from a rural village library to studying in the U.S. — reflects my belief that libraries are not just about books, but about people. I hope to continue contributing to the library field, both in Vietnam and beyond, by creating spaces that inspire, empower, and connect communities.
Thank you for being here!
